While being nonchalant about our own actions, many of us tend to stress out and be victims of many unwanted channels. By channels, I am meaning circumstances or behaviors. Thereby, we fail to recognize the importance of giving time to ourselves, our minds, and our bodies.

Interestingly, among us are few who have the potential to be committed and are caring of themselves. These are two of the characteristics which take these certain people to excellence in meditation. But, the point of discussion is precise as to why are we unable to stick to meditation or why do we not give a thought to it.

Meditation is exactly for the self. There are no other benefits of it that I am aware of. Meditation has the power to activate our mental health, spirit and brings about spiritual power in us humans. Due to the extent of work habits that we keep ourselves occupied with, tends to drain our spiritual fuel. Along with draining our spiritual energy, our physical mind starts to become monotonous to our surroundings.

There are plenty of ways that one can keep themselves motivated and among those, meditation stands strongly. When I start to reflect on my days, which is quite rare, my upcoming days have a much more prosperous result than the previous ones. This is no bookish knowledge but taken by experimenting on myself. Who doesn't love doing that now?

Now, even after getting productive results for myself, what actually stopped me from continuing? Yes, bringing back my previous points to light; lack of commitment to self and self-care. If you are not the type to be serious about yourself, your health, how you are being perceived, your appearance, your speech of conduct, etc; behavioral and presentation approaches, then you are most likely to leave meditation in the middle of it, that is, if you even start with it.

Now, why is this so? The case is this because you build up resistance in yourself which tackles the need analysis for your body, convincing yourself of the needlessness for self-care. We humans mostly get diverted and fall for this, unless we are very much cautious about ourselves and care for ourselves. Let us take a deeper look at it.

Materialistic lifestyles and quick benefits
We have other commitments, like getting financially stable and living our life to our heart's content. Now, the difficult part of it all is to get financially stable while living in an economy that is preoccupied with excessive population. Although, yes, we humans grow a resistance towards any spiritual matter quite easily because the results aren't exactly physical nor instant. Most of us, living through the crisis, gets the attitude of living in the moment as there is no guarantee of money or time. Both with pass away, disrupting our life cycle.

Therefore, we grow a resistance towards those activities which gives us no product. Meditation gives us no money, no entertainment, and no visible benefits. Then why run to it? Interestingly, some only reap benefits from it temporarily while assuming that it will last for a long time, but when it doesn't, they find another way to ease their minds than being committed to it.

However, when one is committed to oneself and has the knowledge along with stamina, to work for self, one grows a habit be committed. Therefore, even though there are no visible benefits, one still approaches meditation of any kind which suits the self, so that they can reap the benefits of spiritual stability.

Not many are aware and not many acknowledge the spiritual self which lives in all of us. Thus, the diverted minds are unable to stick to meditation if even they start. On the other hand, spiritual lovers are able to stick to meditation even if their life is going through a mess. Such are the two kinds of people living in a society when it comes to meditation. So, which kind do you belong to?
