For us, it was GAR!!!
Took my good friend and his son out again tonight. Rain lately, so that wasn't helping anything, but tonight was his only opportunity. Sure enough, the rain basically shut down the carp spawn for the moment. On a brighter note, I saw two gar, and while we both drew on them and fired "on 3," only my arrows hit their targets. Thankfully, a boat of bowfishermen offered us their gar and a large carp, which was kind. It's amazing how much that rain changes things. I'd never hit back to back gar before, so that was a blessing. Can't wait to eat them!
