The Catcus and The Rose Flower

A married man once had a dilemma in his hands. I have two beautiful women whom I adore in my life. one, my wife and the other my mistress. He had decided to go with his mistress, because unlike his wife who was boring and clinging to him all the time, his mistress was fun and a spontaneous woman.
But his wife kept caring for him, cooking and cleaning for him and taking care of all his children without ever raising an argument or a quarrel with him.
He then decided to go to a wise man to help him solve this dilemma. After talking to the wise man, the old man picked two flower pots and placed in both of hands.
Choose one of these flowers. This is easy old man, I'll choose the rose flower. It's beautiful and attractive.
Why not the Cactus flower, young man? The old man asked him. The Catcus looks very old and filthy. it doesn't appear neat to me.
The young man said.
You see, there is your problem, young man. You chose the rose flower within a blink of an eye when I asked you because it's attractive and beautiful. But do you know that the rose although attractive at first withers and dies quickly. Whiles the Catcus looks thorny and unattractive but can stay a long time in the sun to bear you other trees and fruits later.

Your wife represents the cactus flower. She saw all of you, all you had to offer her and still chose to marry and stay with you. Now she's married to you, has children by you and has seen all your anger, bad times and ugly moments and yet still is choosing to stay married to you.
Your mistress, however, wants the best part of you and your life. Like the rose flower, she excites you because of your money and the power you enjoy now.
I bet you that she will leave you once the money starts to disappear along with the power and influence. Because that's all she will ever need from you.
Why treat your wife this way young man when she has given up all her best years just to stay by your side young man?
Her silence and perseverance is her saying to you I love you and I'm here for you no matter what. Don't abuse that commitment and dedication she has for you. Else you might lose it and regret it dearly.
Now, go home and love that woman like she's the only one you will need on earth.
She will never make you regret.

Be careful if you are easily swayed by beautiful appearances on the outside without any substance on the inside.
You may make a mistake which will be irreversible later in your life.
