I had one paper left of my Arches water color paper, so I decidedto buy Canson cellulose watercolor paper to try because I read some reviews about how lifting works nicely with this. Anyway, it was an amateur grade and I received it this morning with some excitment, but I'm not too pleased with hr results.
The paint gets reactivated nicely with the addition of water, just like it says on the back of the paper, but I don't like the overall texture. Also, my paint doesn't looks as vibrant, so maybe I will try to paint with another medium on it or just find something more interesting to paint. As you know , the subject also matters even on great paper.
Below is the painting I did with my last Arches cotton paper
And here is my painting of penguins in the new Canson paper
I did something interesting with the background to try something new.
Thanks for stopping by :)
