I liked this one below because it made me draw four variants as I usually do one portrait per paper or canvas. My artist friend at the time critiqued my work every weekend and that's how I grew. For this one, I remember him telling me that I used very thick lines in my outline and that made me more careful or at least aware of the problem.
A cat! Everyone knows I love cats and have painted them in every medium I've used as a right of passage.
I painted this one day after cooking. I just saw some onions and thought hmm, why not?
I really love this bottle of coca cola. It's not symmetrical but I know that it passes off well as a realistic bottle. The colors were accurate for the glass. I'd never done anything like this so it was an exciting thing to look at.
And finally, my neatest piece. This is surprisingly gouache and not acrylic even though some people thought I'd used the latter. I didn't even prime my canvas. Just painted straight on and was surprised to see it take so well.
