During my work as a freelancer, it required me to learn many skills other than writing content. In freelance work, the freelancer does almost everything for the success of work, starting with self-marketing, communication and negotiation with clients, as well as the skill of time management to reconcile work and study as in my case, or even if You had another job, and this prompted me to learn these skills and master them so that I can first get a job and then complete it effectively, so what are these skills that every freelancer should be familiar with before entering the freelance market?

1- Time management skill

Most of us believe that the issue of time management is important in our lives in general and in self-employment in particular, but despite this many of us are not good at organizing their times, and even do not have a sense of time, we may think that we spend a certain time on a task while we are actually spending many times that time. Therefore, the first step towards time management is to develop our sense of time, then determine a certain number of hours per day to work, preferably this time is not subject to change and then cut off any distractions during this time, I think that this is a very effective way to program our minds that this time to work Only consequently, we have a psychological readiness to start work, don't you agree with me?

2- The skill of negotiation and persuasion

One of the most common problems faced by freelancers is negotiating with clients. Many of us complain about the unfairness of entrepreneurs and that they are not getting what they deserve. Personally, I see that the negotiation stage starts from the moment you choose the project and submit the offer. I always choose the offers in which I see that the proposed budget is equal to the work required, and with this I avoid the problems of negotiating with clients, but if it is necessary to negotiate, we can use negotiation mechanisms such as presenting experiences and skills. Appropriately, this will make our position stronger, and also the use of persuasion methods supported by strong arguments, proofs and indications, in addition to deeply understanding the needs and desires of the client and thus you can play on these strings easily, and we always try to reach a satisfactory solution for both parties, as this is the best negotiation strategy from my point of view.

3- Communication skill

Communication is the basis of freelance work, we as freelancers need effective communication with the client during the presentation of offers, in the negotiation stage and during the performance of work, and effective communication also provides us with permanent clients, and therefore it is important for us as freelancers to know the elements of effective communication, which is to be clear and frank, polite, accurate and concise, Correct spelling and linguistically, and to be logically connected.

In your opinion, are there more skills that it is important for us as freelancers to learn and develop ??
