Good afternoon Steemians, thank you for the wonderful opportunity to participate in this contest. On this contest we be looking at;

Who has the most influence on children? Explain with convincing reasons.

Children like they say are the future of tomorrow and it is very important that "the future of tomorrow" are trained in uprightness to be able to lead properly.

Children are influenced by several factors Family environment etc. And i believe that parents have the most influence of children and i will highlight my reasons;

1. The first reason is the genetic factor, when children grow up to a certain age they tend to behave more like either of their parent due to their genetic inheritance, there are some instances where maybe the girl child looks more like the mom and behave more like her.

2. Another reason is that the first people that teaches the child consciously or unconsciously are the parent; children tend to copy what they see and hear and the first teacher are the parents before environment. For example i went home recently and i observed that my neighbor's child who i normally play with said some words that are not right and before then have heard his parent's use those words a couple of times hence the child started using those words without them consciously teaching him.

3. Parents are the first models for their children. The home is the primary school of a child. Where they learn values, good or bad habits as modeled by the parents.

Who influenced you most during your childhood?

My number one influencer during my childhood was my mom and i would also say my environment too. Both influenced me greatly. Alot of things that i know how to do today and i apply to get results was taught me by my mom. My mom was an epitome of discipline.She knew how to discipline herself to do the right things and she was very hard working at a point she was the only one bearing the financial burden of the home. I witness strength first hand from my mom.

My environment too affected me greatly, the children i play with. During childhood after school when i get home the next thing is to take my bath and run out to play with the other kids and even on holiday we would play till our parents come looking for us and i would say they had an influence in my life too.

Do you think children can retrain themselves even when they have good backgrounds/home training.(You can give examples,if any)

I believe strongly that what shapes a child's future is the training received while young and yes children can restrain themselves even when they have good backgrounds/home training. I will use myself as an example, there were few times that i was almost influenced to do the wrong thing at school what kept me was the trainings i received from my mom.

How are you influencing the younger ones around you.

The greatest investment is human investment and knowing this i take how time once every week to train some girls in school we in turn reach out to other girls. It's a family in school where we are intentional about each other and our aim is to see each other flourish in every aspect our lives.
