Assalamu Alaikum friends. Wishing everyone good health. Hope you all are well. By God's grace I am fine too. Today I am here to participate in wonderful learning competition organized by our teacher @lhorgic. The topic of this contest is SLC21/WK5: Hands-On Practical. So this is a very important competition where we can learn some important things. So let's get started.

Design A logo for your brand, if you already have one, this would be optional for you.

A hands-on practical logo is an image or symbol that represents the practical aspect of an activity or learning experience. It is commonly used to mark an educational institution, brand or course that emphasizes hands-on participation in the learning process. So I will mention the process of making it slowly in few steps.

Step - 01 :-

• First I went to my Canva app and chose a template suitable for my logo design. One of my favorites is 1080×1080 or Instagram size. Then I made the background color black. Then I wrote my brand name ST, which font is BUNGEE.

Step - 02 :-

• Then with the letter S in front, go to the position option and click the letter T backward option and move it down slightly so that it looks interesting. So the color hex code of letter S is #7843E6 and the hex code of letter T is #5CE1E6.

Step - 03 :-

• Basically my brand name is S-Spark+T-Tech. Its full form is Spark Tech. So I went to the text option and wrote it. I added another word premium gadget to this. The hex code of this text is #C1FF72 and its font is Shrikhand. Then I added a design box on it to make it look more attractive.

• Now let's give some learning examples according to the previous lesson. If I applied this design to a mockup it would look like this. This is what I created from the mockup option.

Design a promotional flyer/banner/poster for your brand using any design app/software of your choice. Kindly be sure to be very detailed, showing every relevant detail as this could be your leverage.

I will create a logo to answer this question. Then in this design I will present the media of that logo in the form of a poster. Basically my poster will be an electronics accessories gadget that has all the necessary electronics accessories. I will promote the brand of this accessories showroom to everyone, so I will make a poster. So let's present it step by step.

Step - 1 :-

• In the beginning I took an Instagram-sized page. Then I changed its background to black. Then I added a background from the gallery with a red design behind this black color. Now I put it at Transparency level 30.

Step - 2 :-

• Now to design it, click on the element option below and take a square shape. Then I changed its color. Now keep it in column form and copy it again and add it towards the top corner. Check the screenshot below.

Step - 3 :-

• Now I added my brand logo created earlier in the top left corner. Then I designed a little more from the bottom. Now above I wrote my brand name Spark Tech. I gave it red color and font is Fb Wallw.

Step - 4 :-

• Then below I wrote the next part premium gadget sentence. Then I added a picture box at the bottom and on the right side. I added another column on the bottom right side.

Step - 5 :-

• Now copy the picture box and add another picture box and increase its size. Then I went to the element option and searched for the name plate. Then I added a nameplate as per my choice.

Step - 6 :-

• Now in the picture boxes I have added PNG photos of some electronics accessories. I added a fifty percent off logo and cashback logo on the left side so that the buyers are more attracted. Then I colored the nameplate below and wrote my address and contract details there. Now the final output is generated which you can see in the next screenshot.

Dedicate a section to talk about the graphics design principles engaged in making your design. You might want to revisit the lecture on graphic design principles to refresh your memory.

Graphics design principles refer to principles or guidelines that make a design effective, organized, and visually appealing. These principles help the designer to present an idea or message correctly.

Balance :- I have worked on the principle of maintaining balance between different elements. Designed to ensure the overall balance of the design and the overall balance of the site, which is used in my poster.

Typography :- Ensured proper use of typography to make headlines readable and attractive. I have designed it by combining the style of nameplate and front.

Color Contrast :- A few contrasting colors have been used more here as it helps to attract attention. I have applied different color variations in the text to create an educational environment.

Classification and Emphasis :- Worked to clarify text classification and emphasis on logos and posters. It highlights the importance and continuity of education.

Once again use a suitable mockup to promote your design.

Step - 1 :- As per previous rule I will create mockup with same size image as I designed logo and poster. So I clicked on the app option I needed and then clicked on the mockup option below. There are many images that you can't see in the screenshot.

Step - 2 :- Since it has to be publicized, I promoted this post with a mockup outside at a public tourist spot. From there I designed a poster of my choice. Now I entered the gallery and brought the design from the gallery that I made. Then I made a mockup with it. See the final design on your screenshot.

It is a very excellent learning competition. Thanks to our teacher for organizing such a wonderful competition. This post shows a detailed step-by-step process for designing a brand logo and a promotional flyer using Canva. This process demonstrates practical graphic design techniques and principles that make the project instructive and visually appealing. I am very happy to participate in this competition.
