Hello everyone from this beautiful Steem For Lifestyle community. I hope you're all having a good day and my post meets you well. Today, I'm here for a contest on Cooking skills by @solaymann and here's my publication.

What is the name of your cooking recipe? How is it's popularity?

My cooking recipe is called Ekpang Nkukwo. This delicacy is widely enjoyed by Nigerians and it's originally generated from the south. Akwa-Cross. It's enjoyed by alot because of how delicious it is.

This dish is very popular mostly in the southern part of Nigeria. We don't joke with this dish, it's very special.

Ingredients

The ingredients for this dish are;

  • Wateryam

  • Cocoyam

  • Palm oil

  • Vegetable leaf or Ediam

  • Crayfish/dryfish

  • Onions, pepper, salt, Maggi

  • Scent leaf

  • Any protein of your choice

  • Perewinkle

Preparation steps

  • peel the wateryam and cocoyam and wash in hot water(so it doesn't itch your hands). Then go ahead and grate it.

  • After grating all, you was the leaf and use it to carefully wrap the grated item

  • Wash your perewinkle and add a little palm oil to the bottom of the pot, spread the perewinkle.

  • Drop in the wrapped food into the pot until you're done, then add your chopped onions.

  • When it boils, add your pounded crayfish and pepper with salt and maggi.

  • While it's boiling, wash and cut your scent leaf.

  • Put in the scent leaf and stir a bit

  • Viola! The food is ready for consumption.
