Great steemians from this great community, I greet you. Happy new week. How was Sunday service yesterday? I'm so proud of being in this group. I want to tell you how my Sunday was. Come with me, let me show you something through pictures.
I love Sunday. It's a beginning of a new week. I have an opportunity on Sunday to start a new week in His presence. But this very Sunday was unique. I was invited by a friend to couples' service. Although I had decided to worship at my church, I suddenly had to change to an invitation.
I woke up as usual in my morning, said my prayers and then set out to do a few house chores. Knowing that the service of this church that I was invited starts by 9.30am, i didn't bother to rush my morning chores. After cleaning the house, I had my bath and took a light breakfast. By 9am, i was ready to leave the house.
The service was held at Chapel of Peace and Transfiguration, 123 Abak Road in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. I got there by almost 10am when the pastor in-charge, Pst. Edemiko Obot, had started the service. My friend, Victor, was very happy to see me honour his invitation. From the church entrance, the ushers were very friendly. I was given a seat in the middle of thre congregation and was stucked that I couldn't get opportunity to snap. I had to rely on the pictures my friend took. But I witnessed all what happened in front.
It was very interesting. Couples were asked to sit together so they can identify themselves.
After the man of God, had finished giving the message which centered on genuine love, he asked the couples if they truly love their partners. A game of love was played by couples to test how well they know their partners. It was a question and answer session to all couples.
Couples present were fantastic. Omo! This particular couple were exceptional. Mr. Macaulay and his wife were the winners of the couple's game. Mr. Macaulay really know his wife very well. I was so excited watching them displayed love.
My afternoon activities were in the church. I was too thrilled for words as I learnt fresh ideas from couples. I was entertained and refreshed. I came back home by few minutes past 4pm.
Immediately I entered the house, I undressed and then went straight to the bathroom to take bath. After this, I took my rice and stew and then rested.
When I woke up by 5.30pm, I went to watch Liverpool vs Manchester City match at the viewing centre. It was another disappointment as City lost at home to Liverpool (0 vs 2).
I came back around 7.30pm. I was exhausted and had to sleep so I can wake up early the next day.
