Good day everyone in this platform. It's a pleasure to share my writing about my feelings on a sad day in this contest.
Many people have various reasons for being sad, they also have different feelings on a sad day. Some people get sad or upset over very minor happenings while others might get sad if something really serious happened which may dampen that person's mood.
Research shows that the main reason for sadness among many is as a result of lack of money. Money is the key factor to satisfying various needs and wants of a person. A person while thinking of how to satisfy various necessities of life could become very sad, when he doesn't have the means to do so.
Personally, I become sad because of various reasons. As a student I could get sad when I don't attain the desired result I expected to achieve at the end of a term. It could be very saddening. Most times I feel very devastated and disappointed, having worked so hard, but at the end of it all it's not what I expected.
I get upset when I experience set backs in life, when the people important in my life abandons me. When things don't go my way as planned, or what I had worked so hard for don't become successful. It could be very saddening if u were promised something but that promise wasn't kept. Most times thinking about the anxieties of life is what makes me very sad.
Depression is not a good thing for one to experience. So although I may experience bad happenings in life I try my best not to get depressed. Depression can lead to one having thoughts of suicide, it can also lead to the dettered mental health of a person. It is important to always have a healthy mindset.
When I'm upset, I try thinking about the good things I have experienced in life, joyful occasions. I watch movies that will lit up my mood, make me more happier and livelier. I read novels I enjoy a lot, listen to soothing music that makes me calmer and more sane. Doing all those makes me feel relaxed and improves my mood a lot.
It is important for one to try doing various things that are vital for the Improvement of their mental state when sad. A good mental health is the key to living positively, working hard to achieve various goals in life and living a healthy lifestyle. One could go out for a walk, engage in various hobbies which from their perspective relieves them of their sadness and negative thoughts, as well as different activities that will keep them happy.
When one feels depressed, it's not just easy to snap out of it. A person who is depressed shouldn't stop socializing, he should stay in touch with family and friends, not withdrawing himself from them. While socializing he'll get to meet people with different opinions, regarding life, people with charming personalities that could help him and also get advice from lots of people which could as well improve his mental well being.
It is also important to be more active maybe in sports or other activities which could be refreshing as well, maintain a healthy diet as well. Having a routine is also a very effective way of dealing with depression. When one has a routine he will find himself more busy in different activities making him engaged and put aside depression for sometime.
A person who is depressed should try to face his fears. He should try doing things that he finds difficult to do. He shouldn't withdraw himself but should look for various ideas that could help him to face his fears. He should also try to exercise regularly at most 30 minutes per day. This will him him release pent up energy inside of him.
Also one shouldn't drink too much alcohol when depressed. Everyone can agree that alcohol is what many people use to drown their sorrows. They find it effective as it helps them forget whatever difficulties they are facing. But what about the aftermath, too much alcohol is not good for the body as it could damage the liver thus endangering one's health.
Everyone need to live a healthy lifestyle, ocassionally one gets sad and might become depressed. It is very essential for one to keep socializing in life, it keeps one sane and avoids sucidal thoughts. Being around more people makes one happier and contented. Listening to music that's soothing when alone can also help prevent depression. Overcoming depression might not be easy but with efforts and sacrifices one can become successful.
