In our society either ancient or modern, we have served individuals who ensure that the laws and peace of a society is maintained at all costs. With that, they are given authority to punish the offenders. They are known as the Police. Since the evolution of corruption and other evil vices, people mistook this law enforcers to be oppressors due to their actions. In this post, let's see why.

Normally, police are our friend because they are human beings who have relationships or family behind them. For me, I see them as a friends because they have emotions since they are human beings. Despite the fact that some police officers are corrupting the system, We shouldn't allow the sin of Jim to affect innocent Jake.
What are Police Jurisdiction in carrying out their work? |

There's something about law enforcement officers in each department. The similarity is that they have places or activities that are not permitted to do so. In the police department, they have their jurisdiction which involves the following
- Not permitted to check driver's licenses and particulars (that's the work of the Federal Road Safety Corp)
- Allowed to arrest the offender of the law and let them face the law.
- Not permitted to be at the border to check incoming goods (that's the work of the Nigerian Custom Service)
- Not permitted to intrude into innocent private lives like searching their phones or other means.

Have I Encountered any Injustice from the Police? |

For me, I haven't experienced any injustice from the Police. But I have a close friend who experienced injustice from this law enforcement agency. In his words, he said that they stopped him in order to check his phone. He refused on the ground that he has freedom in his private life. According to him, his phone is his private life and shouldn't be pry into by unauthorized personnel. They insisted and he stood his ground. At last, he was freed and he left them in order to join the school shuttle.
Do you agree on dismissal of corrupt police officer? Or other punishment should be given |

I partially agree for the dismissal of a corrupt police officer but they deserve more treatment than that. From the constitution, the punishment of a corrupt fellow should be given to them. With that, any other police officer who has corrupt intent will shut down that operation or mindset.
