In my previous posts I have discussed some of the initiatives that can be taken in the Steem blockchain to further advance the blockchain and enrich the steemit platform. Today I am going to share another important topic with you.

Since steemit is a blogging platform, the more users i.e. the number of regular users on this platform, the more prosperous the platform will be and move forward. Number of users is a very important factor for a blogging based site. If the number of users increases day by day then it will spread geometrically among more people and this platform will become popular worldwide. Steemit is a worldwide popular platform already. But its number of users is very less all over the world. It needs to be increased a lot. As many policies and regulations as steem blockchain has, its user base is supposed to be more than traditional social media like facebook, twitter because everyone is getting rewarded by spending every moment here. So the features, activities and steps of the platform are all right. Now this platform with one of the best means of earning excellent income needs to be popularized and users increased.

I have a suggestion for user onboarding. The platform has been in operation for the last 8 years and its users have not grown at a geometric rate. But with some initiative I hope it will increase a lot. One initiative could be a referral system to onboard more users to grow. That is, if someone brings another person to this blogging based platform through referral and teaches them how to blog here, then a certain percentage can be paid out to the referrer from that user's post. I think this is possible through a change or hard fork of the blockchain coding. I don't think there is a need to give a very large percentage referral bonus. With a very small percentage many existing users will be more motivated to onboard new users.

Referrals can earn automatic lifetime income from their referred users. That is, the one who will refer and onboard will continue to receive income as referrer at a fixed rate from all his referal’s posts as long as he posts. So those existing users will try and work their best to bring new users here and ensure their income. I don't think any other better onboarding or user acquisition technique. This percentage will be very little like 0.5% or 1%. Even a small percentage referral bonus like this would be enough. When someone onboards 10 people or 100 people here, at the end of the day he will get a passive income from here. So everyone will try to bring in new users and ensure the income of new users. So I hope this initiative can be taken by proposing such a hard fork to spread steemit more.

I also think that this is a valid and valuable suggestion on this platform and this will help to grow a lot of people through the referral onboarding as existing users will try to bring their family and friends. Bigger the community means more value around us and that is what we need so having a referral system in place can help a lot. I also think there should be a way to give some feedback to the team behind steemit so that they can go through the ideas and implement whatever is possible for them.

Ya. Exactly. Thanks
