Greetings everyone. Let's hope everyone is doing fine by the will of almighty ALLAH. I am also doing well alhamdulillah.

Assassins Creed franchise has come a long way from where it began over a decade ago. The Assassin’s Creed series continues to improve with each installment, delivering better gameplay, richer stories, and enhanced graphics. Remarkably, it remains one of the few franchises consistently releasing new games each year.

One of the newest installments in the series is Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the latest addition to the franchise. I tried it a few days ago and in this post, I’d like to share my experience with it.

Assassin's Creed Mirage takes the series back to its stealth-action roots, delivering an experience that feels both nostalgic and refined. Set in the lively streets of 9th-century Baghdad, the game offers a more intimate adventure compared to the vast epics of recent entries. The recent Assassin’s Creed games were slowly moving away from their stealth-action roots and becoming more like traditional RPGs. It’s nice to see that they’ve brought the focus back to stealth-based gameplay in this installment. The gameplay of this game is very enjoyable, especially when navigating the terrains of old Baghdad, which feels amazing.

The gameplay in this game focuses heavily on stealth and parkour, moving away from the RPG elements seen in recent titles. Missions are designed to make you think strategically, whether it’s blending into crowds, taking out guards, or using tools like smoke bombs to execute your plans. The return of the classic Hidden Blade as the main weapon brings back the true assassin feel. The parkour system is smooth and makes running across Baghdad’s rooftops an exciting and fun experience.

The combat is decent, takes a backseat to stealth and that’s the way it’s meant to be. Players who enjoyed the more action-packed combat in Odyssey or Valhalla might find this a bit slower. On the downside, the game is shorter than the recent AC titles, which may leave some wanting more. Also, some side quests feel a bit pointless, like filler. What makes Mirage stand out is how it trims the fat and delivers a focused experience. For fans of classic Assassin’s Creed games like Ezio’s Trilogy and Black Flag, this feels like we are back in the roots.
