In the respect that both Proof of Stake and Delegated Proof of Stake use governance models trying to decentralize decision-making and give power to the token holders, they differ in the structuring of participation and decision-making.
PoS Governance
In general, PoS systems have direct governance: token holders and validators vote in decisions around everything from protocol upgrades to network parameters or policy changes. The rule generally applies that each participant's vote is proportional to the number of tokens they stake-the more massive the stake, the larger the voting power. Decision-making may be on-chain, where proposals are implemented using smart contracts once consensus has been reached. PoS allows for broad participation but is mostly vulnerable to centralization since a few large holders of the token dominate the governance.
Governance in DPoS:
Whereby DPoS adds another layer to governance, which introduces an explicit layer of delegation: token holders, in the case of DPoS, do not vote directly on proposals nor directly validate transactions but instead use their tokens to vote for a small number of delegates (or witnesses) who do this work on their behalf. Elected delegates are to make decisions on the protocol governance and validate transactions. The accountability comes with the continuous voting process, allowing it in cases a delegate has not acted in the best interest of the network. In this system, it's much more efficient, but there can be tendencies of centralization given the fact that only a few may repeatedly get the majority vote as influential delegates.
Comparison:
While PoS governance allows for more direct participation and more significant decentralization, the DPoS governance is far more efficient and streamlined, with the added risk of power concentration in the hands of the few selected representatives. Both models balance decentralization and efficiency, but do so differently.

I think we need more of governance in the dpos so that the transactions and activities can really be regulated and reduce the risk of scams and fraud actually which is very needed I believe so

It is a great article of PoS vs DPoS governance.
