In this second part of this topic I shall share the use & importance of blockchain in decentralized search engines and the super cool user-centric reward-based system of the decentralized search engine BitClave.
Blockchain technology is the main player that maintains a crucial role in the functionality of BitClave. We know that the blockchain is a decentralized ledger. In this technology, the transactions are recorded across a network of computers in a secure & immutable way. This technology ensures transparency in the system.
For these features, it is an ideal foundation for a decentralized search engine. In the first decentralized search engine BitClave, blockchain technology is used to store user data in a decentralized system. For this decentralization, users have control over their information. Instead of relying on centralized servers that can be hacked or misused, BitClave leverages a distributed network where data is encrypted and accessible only by authorized parties. This approach not only enhances security but also ensures that users retain ownership of their data.
The approach of BitClave is basically user-centric. Traditional search engines normally prioritize advertisers' interests. They show ads based on user data collected without explicit consent. BitClave is totally different in that case as it gives users control over how their data is used and shared. Users can choose to share their data with advertisers in exchange for rewards. This rewarding system is pretty handy for the users. Along with that, it is creating a more transparent & mutually beneficial relationship.
The BitClave system is designed to follow an active search ecosystem (BASE) that connects users directly with advertisers. When users perform a search, they can opt to share their data with relevant advertisers. In return, they earn CAT (Consumer Activity Token). This token-based reward system incentivizes users to engage with the platform and along with that their privacy is respected.
