The lynx is a beautiful wild cat that rests in any wild part of the world and enjoys the peace away from human civilization. It is also found in a few parts of North America, Europe as well as Asia but mostly is found in forested lands and some mountainous areas. The lynx has long pointed ears, a short stubby tail and a very hairy body which makes it comfortable in colder weather.
Such hunter prefers to hunt alone. These cats are highly stealthy and very agile. Their main diet comprises cotton tail rabbits. They do this by hunting the areas that would more likely have rabbit activity as there is dense cover especially in thickets. It combines powerful limbs with tremendous speed when taking off in leap to enhance its predatory skill.
The lynx has been tried to be hunted down and it’s really deadly. Lynx for Wyomingens are very important for ecometrical stability. However it is important to note that these magnificent creatures are directly or indirectly tortured due to urbanization, cut throat competition among mankind, and poaching. Rescue initiatives are very important towards the perpetuation of the species.
There is an empathy that helps when the lynx and its shelter are being defended. This further helps us in understanding the humanity’s role in the natural process. Global warming or environmental destruction is one of the causes for this graceful wild cat’s extinction.
