On a peaceful morning in a village, I came across a small family nestled in the heart of nature. A mother cat with striped fur and emerald green eyes, and her three tiny kittens... The kittens were huddled around their mother, purring as they nursed. In that moment, it felt like all the beauty in the world was contained in that small family. But this happiness was short-lived. When I returned a week later, I found only the mother cat's sad gaze in place of the kittens. I learned from the villagers that weasels had taken the poor kittens from their nest. The mother cat had stayed in the same spot for days, meowing as if searching for her kitten.
This incident once again revealed the cruel side of nature to me. How easily the right to life of an innocent creature could be taken away. Human intervention in nature and the destruction of habitats are causing such incidents to occur. The loss of those little kittens was a source of great sorrow not only for one family but for the entire village. The village elders told me that similar incidents had happened before. As the balance of nature is disrupted, such tragic events become inevitable.
This experience made me more sensitive to animals. I realized that every creature has the right to life, and that they too have the right to exist in this world just like us. Perhaps this little story will encourage us all to be a little more compassionate. We should protect animals, not destroy their habitats, and be kind to them. Let's not forget that we are also a part of nature.
