As of the current, travel and life as we knew it is put on hold. Most of us are restricted to the walls of our own home and devices. Many of us had to cancel or postpone travel plans. Some of us may be looking through old travel photos and developing some serious wanderlust blues.
Well, now more than ever is the best time for those #latergram photos from your last getaway. Even though we can’t travel at the moment, we can still inspire our imagination for the future and at least try (HA!) to save some money.
If you’re looking for travel captions or short travel quotes that AREN’T “not all who wander are lost” cringes , you’ve come to the right place.
Note on diversity in travel media:
On a more serious note, there is a serious lack of diversity and representation in travel media. White, blonde women like myself dominate the imagery of “wanderlust quotes and inspo” on the internet. This is a vast issue that has been addressed by other WOC bloggers like Oneika Raymond.
That’s why with these graphics I intentionally paired travel quotes with groups that are under-represented in travel media: POC, black women, Muslim women, gay men.
I hope this will inspire more people to travel someday soon, not just ones that look like me.
