Port Townsend is a seaport town punctuated with delightful Victorian Era chateaus that sit in the Northeastern tip of Washington's Olympic Peninsula's astonishing coastline. I frequently pass by the town on my approach to Olympic National Park with just a sparkling idea to investigate it yet never got around to (as of recently). On what was to be a cloudy blustery day,We're as of now headquartered in Bellevue, Washington and the drive to the remote town is around 2 hours. You can arrive at it whichever way by taking the Seattle-Bainbridge ship or passing south through Tacoma and afterward taking Highway 16 and 3 north.

Regardless of which course you decide to take, the course is comparable in the time spent arriving. Be that as it may, you may incline toward the little picturesque ship ride through the Puget Sound; which I suggest on the off chance that you haven't done so as of now.

Victorian Seaport and Arts Community

Directly before the passage on the edges of town, we were welcomed by a sign that says Port Townsend is a Victorian Seaport and Arts Community. Following the course on East Sims Way street, in the long run went to Water Street as it wandered through the memorable midtown.

Legitimately on the left stands a bluff with old Victorian Era design based on top. We can see the memorable Bell Tower as we went through squares of bright mother and pops bistros; in the long run making left on Jefferson Street towards our possible parking space close to the Bell Tower.

The Bell Tower offers some nice vistas of the town. We were there in winter and the leaves that would have impeded the perspectives were absent.

We at that point took the Haller Fountain Stairs close by towards the city beneath. Here will be your early introductions of the great masterful feel to the town.

From the start glimpse, one can perceive any reason why this little Seaport town of 10,000 individuals can profess to be an Arts Community. There are more than 300 Victorian-style homes with window shops offering a wide range of beautiful artworks with vintage bistros and eateries everywhere.

From what we can see, Port Townsend is a canine well disposed town. There were guests walking around their pooches on the central avenue, port side, and some underground in the under town shops.

A Short History of Port Townsend

The midtown territory isn't colossal by any measure. Back in the mid-1800s, the town was known as the City of Dreams since organizers conjectured that Port Townsend would turn into the greatest harbor of the United States' west coast. Huge numbers of the luxurious Victorian structures were worked with the expectations that town would turn into a huge universal blasting transportation port and a major city.

The organizers built up the town as large as possible until the railroad came around and all surge came to Seattle rather however not without abandoning marvelous Victorian and Romanesque Revival structures and design.
