Cooking bananas with fish is a special recipe that is easy and delicious
Fish is an important part of our daily diet and bananas are packed with nutrients. Usually we cook fish fried curry or roast but the fun of cooking banana with fish is different. First wash the fish well. Then apply some salt and turmeric powder and keep it for 10-15 minutes. This will reduce the raw smell of the fish and the spices will blend well.
Then heat oil in a pan and fry the fish lightly. No need to over fry as it will cook later. When the fish is fried, keep it aside.
Peel the raw banana and cut it into medium sized pieces. Then apply some salt and turmeric powder. This will reduce the pulp of the banana and give it a nice color during cooking.
Heat oil in the same pan and fry chopped onions in it. When the onion becomes soft, fry it for a while with ginger-garlic batter. When a nice smell comes out from the spices, grind it for a while with turmeric powder and cumin powder.
When the masala starts to release oil, add the raw banana pieces and stir well. Then cover with little water and cook for 5-7 minutes so that the banana becomes soft.
Now fry the fried fish. Mix well with the spices by gently shaking hands. Then cover with 1/2 cup of water and cook for 10 minutes, so that the fish and bananas are cooked thoroughly and the spices are well mixed.
At the end of cooking, salt should be checked according to taste. Then spread chopped coriander leaves and green chillies and keep covered for another 2 minutes. If you want, you can add a little garam masala.
Now turn off stove and leave for 5 minutes so that the flavors blend better.
