Animazione turistica; le mie 3 vite 🇮🇹🇬🇧

Quella che sto vivendo e' la mia terza vita nel mondo dell'animazione, nei villaggi turistici, negli hotel di livello o nei
camping village.

La prima inizio' poco dopo il militare per concludersi dopo i 40 anni, intervallata con le aperture delle mie prime palestre.
Iniziai lavorando per il Club Vacanze, all'epoca glorioso tour operator, mi permise di girare molto mondo, imparare le lingue, capire l'importanza del lavoro di squadra, il rispetto per chi lavora fianco a fianco con te per mesi e mesi, 24 ore al giorno.
Poi mori' la proprietaria ed il gruppo entro' nel universo Parmalat che col turismo non ci azzeccava nulla, infatti fu un crollo.

Passai ai GV Club, poi iniziai a collaborare con le neonate all'epoca agenzie di animazione.
Mi feci 7 mesi in Grecia, poi l'Egitto, di nuovo le Maldive per poi entrare in Uappala, allora agenzia di animazione livornese di Mirco Peiani che oggi gestisce parecchi hotel anche se non si
occupa piu' di animazione.
Nel 2003 fini' quell'epoca gloriosa raccontata spesso da Fiorello, mi sono davvero divertito, quanti amici, quante storie, quante donne...davvero ci potrei scrivere dei libri.

Nel 2004 aprii la mia piccola agenzia di animazione, presi dei contratti estivi anche con 6/7 camping village, una quarantina di ragazzi impegnati, iniziavo a preparare la stagione a marzo e
tiravo fino a fine settembre, coi ragazzi in struttura da giugno.
Anni faticosi con mille rotture di coglioni, ma avevo gli inverni liberi che passavo sempre a Cuba.

Nel 2015 presi una grande palestra a Caselle, mantenni soltanto
l'animazione in un camping ad Albenga di un amico, pochi ragazzi ed io che scendevo nei fine settimana riuscendo cosi' a farmi anche un po' di mare, ma quel periodo volgeva al termine.
Arrivo' la pandemia, tutti chiusero bottega per 2 anni.

La scorsa estate mi torno' la voglia di fare qualcosa ma senza nessun tipo di responsabilita' gestionale, volevo fare soltanto il capo equipe, possibilmente ben pagato.
Mi accordai col socio attuale della palestra di Rivoli per avere 2 mesi, luglio ed agosto, per questo progetto.
Ero dubbioso, convinto di essere fuori eta' e fuori contesto.
Inviai soltanto 5 curriculum alle migliori agenzie di animazione del paese, mi arrivarono 5 proposte di lavoro molto interessanti.
Compresi la fame che le agenzie avevano di personale di esperienza, si ritrovano tutte a dove far lavorare dei ragazzini.

Accettai un contratto con la First, romagnoli con anche una sede a
S.Marino (fu una delle ragioni che mi spinse a scegliere loro)
Mi inviarono a Scarlino, vicino a Follonica nel grossetano.
Furono due buonissimi mesi, faticosi perche avevo una equipe
giovanissima, ma fattibili, l'asticella non era altissima.
Quest'anno ho dato 2 mesi e mezzo di disponibilita', che potrebbero essere anche 3.
Mi hanno proposto questo villaggio in Abruzzo, l'asticella si è alzata notevolmente, ho chiesto almeno meta' equipe di esperienza, sono stati di parola anche se per esperienza oramai si
intende una stagione.

Sono pagato bene ma i soldi a questo punto del percorso non sono la cosa piu' importante, voglio divertirmi, passare mesi al mare ed avere ancora il piacere di fare bene una cosa che so fare.
Ho scoperto di marciare ancora al doppio della velocita' dei miei ragazzi, fino a che sara' cosi' continuero' ad andare in giro.

Con 4 mesi o poco piu' di questo lavoro posso, se facessi determinate scelte riguardo alla palestra ed avendo anche un altro rendita, prendermi il resto dell'anno per Cuba o per viaggiare.
Una estate tosta ed intensa ed il resto dell'anno completamente a mia disposizione, scusate se e' poco.
Non mi sento fuori tempo, sono soltanto uno piu' grande che mette a disposizione la sua vasta esperienza.

La gente e' cambiata e' vero ma se lavori bene i risultati, esattamente come allora, arrivano comunque e la tecnologia oggi
ti aiuta tantissimo.
Un tempo partivo con una valigia di copioni, cassette musicali (poi cd) spartiti, programmi scritti ecc...
Oggi con un telefonino od una pennetta risolvi tutto.
Vedremo cosa mi riserverà il futuro.

What I'm living is my third life in the world of animation, in tourist villages, in high-end hotels or in
camping village.

The first began shortly after the military and ended after the age of 40, interspersed with the opening of my first gyms.
I started working for Club Vacanze, a glorious tour operator at the time, it allowed me to travel a lot around the world, learn languages, understand the importance of teamwork, respect for those who work side by side with you for months and months, 24 hours a day.
Then the owner died and the group entered the Parmalat universe which didn't get anything right with tourism, in fact it was a collapse.

I moved on to the GV Clubs, then I started collaborating with the newborn entertainment agencies at the time.
I spent 7 months in Greece, then Egypt, the Maldives again to then enter Uappala, then Mirco Peiani's animation agency in Livorno which today manages several hotels even if
deals more with animation.
In 2003 that glorious era often told by Fiorello ended, I really enjoyed it, so many friends, so many stories, so many women... I really could write books about it.

In 2004 I opened my small entertainment agency, I took on summer contracts also with 6/7 camping villages, about forty busy kids, I began to prepare for the season in March and
I worked until the end of September, with the boys in the structure since June.
Tiring years with a thousand pain in the ass, but I had the free winters that I always spent in Cuba.

In 2015 I took a large gym in Caselle, I only maintained
the entertainment in a friend's campsite in Albenga, a few boys and me who went down on the weekends and thus managed to get a bit of the sea, but that period was drawing to an end.
The pandemic arrived, everyone closed shop for 2 years.

Last summer the desire to do something returned to me but without any type of managerial responsibility, I only wanted to be a team leader, possibly well paid.
I agreed with the current member of the Rivoli gymnasium to have 2 months, July and August, for this project.
I was doubtful, convinced I was out of age and out of context.
I only sent 5 resumes to the best animation agencies in the country, I received 5 very interesting job offers.
Including the hunger that the agencies had for experienced staff, they all find themselves where to get kids to work.

I accepted a contract with First, from Romagna with also an office in
San Marino (it was one of the reasons that led me to choose them)
They sent me to Scarlino, near Follonica in the Grosseto area.
They were two very good months, tiring because I had a team
very young, but feasible, the bar was not very high.
This year I gave 2 and a half months of availability, which could also be 3.
They offered me this village in Abruzzo, the bar has risen considerably, I asked for at least half a team of experience, they kept their word even if experience
means a season.

I'm paid well but money at this point in the process isn't the most important thing, I want to have fun, spend months at the beach and still have the pleasure of doing something I know how to do well.
I've found that I'm still marching twice as fast as my boys, so long as that's the case, I'll keep going around.

With 4 months or a little more of this job I can, if I make certain choices regarding the gym and also having another income, take the rest of the year for Cuba or to travel.
A tough and intense summer and the rest of the year completely at my disposal, sorry if it's not enough.
I don't feel out of time, I'm just an older man who makes his vast experience available.

People have changed it's true but if you work well the results, exactly like then, arrive anyway and technology today
it helps you a lot.
I used to leave with a suitcase full of scripts, music cassettes (then CDs), scores, written programs, etc...
Today with a mobile phone or a pen you can solve everything.
We'll see what the future holds for me.
