La fotografia che vedete, scattata all'inaugurazione della stagione alla scala di Milano, ritrae vicini Liliana Segre, ebrea, sopravvissuta agli orrori dei lager nazisti e Ignazio La Russa uno che, malgrado sia la seconda carica dello stato (!), si vanta di avere in casa il busto del duce regalatogli da suo padre.
Per la Segre nutro il rispetto per l'eta' e la sua storia ma non dimentico alcune prese di posizione e troppi silenzi sull'omicidio di 70 mila palestinesi da parte degli israeliani, a volte la storia non insegna nulla.

La penso come Berlinguer, coi fascisti si e' smesso di parlare nel 1945 non si deve ricominciare ora.
La storia non torna indietro, certe manifestazioni col braccio teso hanno come protagonisti ragazzotti che non sanno neanche cosa stanno facendo.
Non ho alcuna paura di ritorni al passato, certo le nuove norme che si cercano di far passare sul comportamento della polizia in determinati frangenti fanno pensare ma siamo comunque una democrazia.

Imperfetta, sdrucita, appannata ma sempre una democrazia.
Come sono arrivati questi se ne andranno, magari fra 2 anni magari piu' tardi ma se ne andranno, non e' detto che quelli che verranno dopo siano migliori.
Comunque fossi stato nella Segre io quella fotografia non l'avrei fatta o mi sarei spostato, fosse solo per il rispetto dovuto a chi, da quei lager non e' tornato indietro.

The photograph you see, taken at the opening of the season at La Scala in Milan, portrays Liliana Segre, a Jew who survived the horrors of the Nazi concentration camps, and Ignazio La Russa, a man who, despite being the second highest official in the state (!), boasts of having a bust of the Duce at home, a gift from his father.
I respect Segre for her age and history, but I don't forget some of her positions and too many silences on the murder of 70,000 Palestinians by the Israelis, sometimes history teaches us nothing.

I think like Berlinguer, we stopped talking to fascists in 1945, we shouldn't start again now.
History doesn't go back, certain demonstrations with an outstretched arm have as protagonists young men who don't even know what they're doing.
I have no fear of going back to the past, certainly the new rules that they are trying to pass on the behavior of the police in certain situations make you think but we are still a democracy.

Imperfect, frayed, tarnished but still a democracy.
As they arrived they will go, maybe in 2 years maybe later but they will go, it is not said that those who come after will be better.
However, if I had been in Segre I would not have taken that photograph or I would have moved, if only out of respect for those who did not return from those concentration camps.
