Ci risiamo.
A scadenze precise i nostri organi di stampa pubblicano notizie allarmanti sul numero di orsi e lupi che popolano il nostro paese.
Dopo gli orsi assassinati ora e' il momento di sbandierare il “terrore” per il lupo.
La Stampa di Torino ci ha ricordato che in Italia oggi ci sono circa 3300 lupi e che un migliaio sono in Piemonte.

E' sempre la solita storia, gli umani sono convinti di essere proprietari assoluti di questo pianeta, negando alle altre specie il sacrosanto diritto naturale di vivere nel proprio habitat.
E' vero, il numero di lupi e' aumentato, e' vero il lupo e' un predatore, quindi?
Cosa facciamo?
Li uccidiamo tutti cosi' facciamo contenti i margari o chi ha animali da pascolo come se la lotta fra loro ed il lupo non fosse
nata nella notte dei tempi?

Secondo Legambiente oggi in Piemonte ci sono 67 branchi, 10 in Veneto, 8 in Valle d'Aosta, 9 nella provincia di Trento, 3 in
Lombardia, 3 in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Questo per quanto riguarda l'arco alpino.
La realta' e' che col lupo, piu' ancora che con l'orso, occorre imparare a convivere comprendendo la sua collocazione di vertice nella catena alimentare su cui ha una funzione di regolazione.

Puo' essere anche un bel business per il turismo, i territori che godono di una biodiversita' sono particolarmente attrattivi, basta attenersi alle regole di prudenza.
In Canada e negli Stati Uniti ci sono zone dove lupi ed orsi attirano visitatori da tutto il mondo.
La densita' di lupi che popolano il parco della Maiellla, ad esempio, e' pari a quella dei lupi di Yellowstone ma gli allevatori
di quelle zone hanno imparato a gestire il gregge con tecniche particolari e con i cani, e poi ci sono i risarcimenti, quelli veri.

Abbattere i lupi, dimezzando il branco, porterebbe l'effetto contrario di quello sperato, ci sarebbero individui solitari che
cercherebbero cibo nelle zone abitate.

P.S. Per la seconda volta è stata avvistata una lince nel parco del Gran Paradiso.
