Il cielo su Torino 🇮🇹🇬🇧

Per il titolo di questo pezzo ho preso in prestito il titolo di una canzone dei torinesissimi Subsonica
In questi 3 mesi in cui non lavoro e non viaggio mi diletto, fra le altre cose, a dedicare del tempo a Birillo, il mio Beagle.
Facciamo delle belle passeggiate, una in particolare passa per un sentiero che sfocia in una specie di terrazza naturale dove si vede tutta la Val Sangone e Torino sullo sfondo, compreso il grattacielo San Paolo.

La foto che vedete l'ho scattata qualche giorno fa, le case in basso sono Avigliana, dove ci sono i due laghi, a sinistra la zona commerciale con tutti i suoi capannoni e, appunto, sullo sfondo il capoluogo torinese.
Guardate il cielo.
Fino a siamo sopra la Val Sangone e' di un bell'azzurro, appena ci si sposta sopra Torino si vede proprio una cappa di un colore misto fra il grigio ed il marrone.

Una cappa di smog, inquinamento, fumo di scappamento delle auto, ciminiere delle fabbriche che riversano in cielo ogni sorta di porcheria.
La gente quella merda la respira ogni giorno, poi e' chiaro come i tumori sia quelli ai polmoni che di altri tipi siano in ascesa esponenziale, per non parlare dei bambini che soffrono d'asma e di
altre malattie respiratorie.
Per fortuna 15 anni fa sono uscito da tutto questo venendo a vivere sotto la Sacra di S.Michele e Colle Braida.

Pero' questo e' il prezzo del progresso, o di quello che ci viene spacciato come tale.
Torino e la sua prima cintura sono fortemente industriali, uno dei motori economici del paese quindi indietro non si torna, non si puo' tornare.
No so come sia la situazione nelle altre citta' ma quella macchia scura fa davvero impressione.

For the title of this piece I borrowed the title of a song by the Turin-based Subsonica
In these 3 months in which I don't work or travel I enjoy, among other things, dedicating time to Birillo, my Beagle.
We take some nice walks, one in particular goes along a path that leads to a kind of natural terrace where you can see the whole Val Sangone and Turin in the background, including the San Paolo skyscraper.

I took the photo you see a few days ago, the houses below are Avigliana, where there are the two lakes, on the left the commercial area with all its warehouses and, indeed, in the background the Turin capital.
Look at the sky.
Until we are above Val Sangone it is a beautiful blue, as soon as you move above Turin you see a cape of a mixed color between gray and brown.

A cloud of smog, pollution, car exhaust smoke, factory chimneys that pour all sorts of rubbish into the sky.
People breathe that shit every day, then it's clear how cancers, both lung and other types, are on the rise exponentially, not to mention children who suffer from asthma and
other respiratory diseases.
Luckily, 15 years ago I got out of all this by coming to live under the Sacra di S. Michele and Colle Braida.

But this is the price of progress, or of what is passed off to us as such.
Turin and its first belt are highly industrial, one of the economic engines of the country so there is no going back, there is no going back.
I don't know what the situation is like in other cities but that dark spot is really impressive.
