Irrispettoso (e anche parecchio ingrato...) - Disrespectful (and also quite ungrateful...) [ITA-ENG]

Scrivo questo post con una certa incredulità e anche con una sensazione di fastidio, perché quello che sto per raccontare è un fatto davvero spiacevole, per il quale non riesco a darmi una spiegazione logica.

E' una breve storia di follia, impulsività (forse), egocentrismo, odio, ingratitudine, boria.
E il protagonista di questo episodio è nient'altro che Gian Piero Gasperini, uno dei più apprezzati allenatori del panorama calcistico italiano e, ormai, anche di quello internazionale.

Eppure Gasp è il classico allenatore di provincia, uno che all'Inter fa malissimo e poi vince l'Europa League con l'Atalanta.
Uno che conosce la fatica, il lavoro, la disciplina e che dovrebbe sapere quanto anche i suoi giocatori sono importanti.
Sappiamo anche che non è uno particolarmente docile, come per esempio ha dimostrato in passato con il Papu Gomez, reo di essere ribelle ai suoi dettami tattici.

Sinceramente, però, al netto di tutto, era davvero difficile prevedere quello che ha detto in conferenza stampa a seguito dell'eliminazione dalla Champions League ad opera del Bruges.

Sul risultato di 3-0 per i belgi, entra Lookman, reduce da un infortunio e dopo pochi minuti mette a segno il gol del 3-1 riaccendendo una flebile speranza.

E la Dea rischia davvero di rientrare in partita grazie al calcio di rigore concesso per il fallo su Cuadrado. Sul dischetto va proprio Lookman e sbaglia.

La reazione del Gasp nel post-partita la riporto letteralmente:

"Non doveva tirarlo. Lui è uno dei peggiori rigoristi che abbia mai visto, anche in allenamento. I rigoristi erano De Ketelaere e Retegui, però evidentemente era euforico e c’è stato questo episodio. Potevamo sbagliarlo anche con qualcun altro, però non è stato un bel gesto”

E Lookman, attaccato pubblicamente dal suo allenatore, non si è fatto attendere e ha ribattuto così:

"Mi rattrista dover scrivere questa dichiarazione in un giorno come questo, soprattutto per quello che abbiamo realizzato insieme come squadra e come città.
Essere additato nel modo in cui sono stato non solo mi ferisce, ma mi sembra anche profondamente irrispettoso, non da ultimo per l'immenso duro lavoro e impegno che ho sempre messo ogni giorno per aiutare a portare successo a questo club e agli incredibili tifosi di Bergamo.
In verità, ho affrontato molti momenti difficili durante il mio periodo qui a Bergamo, la maggior parte dei quali non ho mai parlato perché secondo me la squadra deve sempre essere protetta e deve venire prima. Questo rende ciò che è successo ieri sera ancora più doloroso.
Insieme ai nostri incredibili tifosi, anche noi come squadra stiamo soffrendo per il risultato di ieri sera. Durante la partita il rigorista designato mi ha chiesto di tirare il rigore; e per supportare la squadra mi sono assunto la responsabilità di farlo in quel momento.
La vita è fatta di sfide e di trasformare il dolore, e continuerò a farlo"

E' chiaro che il caso é aperto, adesso arriveranno i Percassi a cercare di ricucire lo strappo...ma al di là di come andrà a finire, mi sembra davvero che l'uscita di Gasperini sia esagerata, soprattutto perché avrebbe dovuto considerare che stava attaccando il giocatore che con la sua tripletta contro il Bayer Leverkusen gli ha permesso di alzare il suo primo trofeo internazionale.

Inoltre lo stesso giocatore aveva fatto di tutto per esserci in una partita così importante come quella contro il Bruges, forzando al massimo per smaltire un infortunio...e appena entrato aveva pure segnato un gol!!

No Gasp, mi dispiace ma non ci siamo, mi sa che stavolta hai esagerato. Perché potevi anche essere arrabbiato, ma certe cose si dicono nello spogliatoio e si chiarisce con il diretto interessato, non si va certo a sbandierarle ai giornalisti umiliando un tuo giocatore, tra i più forti aggiungerei.

Anche un campione del calibro di Alex Del Piero ha fortemente stigmatizzato il comportamento del tecnico, dichiarando che lui se la sarebbe presa e che così facendo mette alla gogna il giocatore creando scompiglio nell'intero gruppo.

Forse è proprio questo il grande limite di questo bravissimo allenatore, credo sia questa la motivazione per la quale non possa ambire a palcoscenici più prestigiosi e a squadre più blasonate.

Probabilmente a questo signor allenatore, le cui squadre giocano un calcio spettacolare e moderno, manca un po' di quello spessore morale che ha sempre caratterizzato i tecnici più vincenti e apprezzati.

A questo punto, fai una cosa Gasp...chiedi scusa. Che forse è l'unico modo che hai per riprenderti un po' da questo brutto scivolone.

Hello everyone

I write this post with a certain incredulity and also with a feeling of annoyance, because what I am about to tell is a truly unpleasant fact, for which I cannot give myself a logical explanation.

It is a short story of madness, impulsiveness (perhaps), egocentrism, hatred, ingratitude, arrogance.
And the protagonist of this episode is none other than Gian Piero Gasperini, one of the most appreciated coaches in the Italian football scene and, by now, also in the international one.

One who knows fatigue, work, discipline and who should know how important his players are too.

Honestly, however, net of everything, it was really difficult to predict what he said in the press conference following the elimination from the Champions League by Bruges.

I report Gasp's reaction in the post-match verbatim:

"He shouldn't have taken it. He is one of the worst penalty takers I've ever seen, even in training. The penalty takers were De Ketelaere and Retegui, but he was obviously euphoric and there was this episode. We could have missed it with someone else, but it wasn't a nice gesture"

And Lookman, publicly attacked by his coach, did not wait to respond and responded as follows:

"It saddens me to have to write this statement on a day like this, especially for what we have achieved together as a team and as a city.
To be singled out in the way I have been not only hurts me, but also seems deeply disrespectful, not least for the immense hard work and commitment I have always put in every day to help bring success to this club and the incredible fans of Bergamo.
In truth, I have faced many difficult moments during my time here in Bergamo, most of which I have never spoken about because in my opinion the team must always be protected and must come first. This makes what happened last night even more painful.
Along with our incredible fans, we as a team are also suffering from last night's result. During the game the designated penalty taker asked me to take the penalty; and to support the team I took it upon myself to do so at that time.
Life is about challenges and transforming pain, and I will continue to do so"

It's clear that the case is open, now Percassi will arrive to try to mend the rift...but regardless of how it ends, it really seems to me that Gasperini's exit was exaggerated, especially because he should have considered that he was attacking the player who with his hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen allowed him to win his first international trophy.

Furthermore, the same player had done everything to be there in such an important match as the one against Bruges, pushing himself to the max to recover from an injury...and as soon as he came on he even scored a goal!!

No Gasp, I'm sorry but we're not there, I think you've exaggerated this time. Because you could have been angry, but certain things are said in the locker room and clarified with the person directly concerned, you certainly don't go flaunting them to journalists humiliating one of your players, one of the strongest I would add.

Even a champion of the caliber of Alex Del Piero has strongly stigmatized the behavior of the coach, declaring that he would have taken it and that by doing so he is pillorying the player, creating confusion in the entire group.

Perhaps this is precisely the great limit of this very good coach, I believe this is the reason why he cannot aspire to more prestigious stages and more famous teams.

Probably this man, whose teams play spectacular and modern football, lacks a bit of that moral depth that has always characterized the most successful and appreciated coaches.

At this point, do one thing Gasp...apologize. Which is perhaps the only way you have to recover a bit from this bad slip.
