The Beja Castle is located in Beja, in Alentejo, Portugal.
It is a medieval castle built towards the end of 13th century on Roman foundations by the command of King D. Dinis.
The castle has a pentagonal floor flanked by six towers, among them is the keep, considered as one of the most beautiful in Portugal. From the top of its impressive 24-metre-high tower you will enjoy magnificent views of the city.
In the weapons square stands the Casa do Governador (Governor’s House), a building which suffered various modifications by the end of 30s, and currently hosts the tourism office and a museum space for temporary expositions.
I am sharing photos of landscapes, moments and experiences. Nature and sea are the most visited themes in my photo collection, but any attention-grabbing aspect can be photographed. Hope you enjoy it...Location: Beja - Alentejo - Portugal
