Le mutazioni dei virus sono normalissime, il dramma con il Covid è che muta molto in fretta e tende sempre di più ad eludere il sistema immunitario. Quest'ultimo non si accorge dell'intruso, non lo combatte e quando se ne rende infine conto è spesso già tardi. Il vaccino dovrebbe invece aiutare questo processo, rendendo più difficile al virus di mascherarsi.
