"Nightmare" for excess anxiety brain! It not only destroys your peace of mind, but also has several negative effects on the brain. Let's take a closer look at how anxiety affects our brain:

✺ Weakness of memory

Excessive worry can reduce your memory. Memory declines, so you might forget why you opened the fridge! Studies have shown that long-term anxiety reduces the size of the hippocampus, which is important for memory.

✺ Sleep problems

Worry disturbs your sleep. If you don't sleep, you will walk around the office or class like a zombie the next day. Persistent anxiety disrupts the brain's relaxation and recovery processes, thereby reducing sleep quality.

✺ Lack of attention

Anxiety slows down your focus. As a result, you may check Facebook repeatedly during work. Anxiety affects the brain's prefrontal cortex, which controls our attention and decision-making abilities.

✺ Stress

Anxiety increases stress, which worsens your mood. As a result, you may have unnecessary quarrels with your loved ones. Stress increases levels of the hormone cortisol, which can damage the brain in the long term.

✺ Physical problems

Anxiety affects not only the brain but also the body. High blood pressure increases the risk of heart disease. Long-term anxiety reduces the functioning of various organs of the body, resulting in various physical problems.

Here are some ways to reduce anxiety

Meditation: Meditate some time every day. It helps keep the brain calm.
Exercise: Exercise regularly. It helps in reducing stress and keeps the brain fresh.
Creative activities: Do creative activities like drawing, listening to music or reading a book. It keeps the brain busy and reduces anxiety.
Social Connections: Spend time with loved ones. It helps reduce stress.

Do you suffer from anxiety? It sounds a bit as if this isn't the case so that's why I ask. Any idea how difficult it is if caught and eaten by fear to lift a hand let alone a pencil to make a drawing or to paint?
A bit more is needed for those who suffer from anxiety a continue helping hand and support for example but the question is how many are willing to reach out? Sooner or later (most cases sooner) everyone has enough from the one with anxiety since what always exists annoys and limits and it's hard to know what someone else feels even if you suffer of the same.

So I wonder are there still loved ones left?
