Giro D'Italia 96' - Across Italy in 96' ( Part 1 )

True Life Story

It was 96', we were Young and full of Energy, I knew a little bit Italian, my friend Nori a lot and we went in Adventure. Nori wanted badly to travel to Italy, but we needed Visas, which were difficult to be gained, if You didn't have a true reason to travel to Europe.

We could travel to Italy as tourists, of course but with a lot of money on our Bank Account, guarantees for stay, certain Hotels but none of this was possible for us, as we were Students, me last year Mechanical Engineering, Nori last Semester Tecnology. My father actor and editor in Macedonian National Theatre, my Mom working in Institute for Nuclear Medicine and Patophisiology were not billionaires neither Millionaires to help me much with money.

She gave me a task and She said: "Italy or novewhere else" and I had to think fast as we were in the beginning of Summer.

I was thinking and thinking and I remembered: "In 95, I was in Budapest, I met Marco and He was talking about Summer University in Palermo through AESEC. I even had his contact and even were in occasional contact with Him.
Wow, I hoped, He remembers me and He would gladly invite not only me but Nori as well in Palermo. I met other Marco and He was even studying something similar as me and I hoped, He will help.

I had to be smurt, make a good Plan and make it come true. But the question was, How to do that ? That was the whole important part as that would make us go in Italy.

I had to think and it had to be fast...
