Fasting is a great blessing. Fasting is not only a means of removing our sins but it is also very beneficial for our health.

The term fasting means abstaining from eating and drinking at the same time or even both. When the human body is going through a process of starvation, the body converts any stored energy into fat to use and burn.
If done correctly, fasting can work wonders for weight loss - especially for the loss of fat tissue in the body, which leads to better overall body structure. Intermittent fasting in a regular resistance training regime will promote greater fat loss with faster results.
Immune system
Participating in fasting promotes fitness in the human body as it focuses primarily on the immune system and metabolism as opposed to focusing on digestion which further enhances muscle development in the process.
The immune system is made up of a large number of white blood cells and fasting encourages your body to recycle any old white blood cells resulting in a healthier, stronger immune system. Your body regenerates the stem cells that make up your platelets with red and white blood cells when your body eats food again.
Blood pressure
Decreasing the amount of salt in the body and reducing the amount of salt in the urine lowers the blood pressure of the body.
