hi friends, I hope you all are well, in this post I am going to tell you about diets for therenal stone and kidney stones.
Diet Tips for Renal (Kidney) Stone
Fresh Vegetables:
Fresh vegetables, due to their fiber content, are important for helping your body pass kidney stones. Green peas, pumpkin and squash, cauliflower, cabbage, turnips and tomatoes are ideal vegetables to add to your daily menu. Made as fresh salads or lightly steamed, they will help cleanse your system while clearing the way for your kidneys to function more effectively.
Increase Intake of Fluids:
Drinking a lot of fluid is important for treating and preventing all types of kidney stones. Staying hydrated (having enough fluid in your body) will keep your urine diluted, which makes it harder for stones to form. Water is best. Drink enough liquids throughout the day to make at least 2 quarts of urine every 24 hours. Drink enough to have light-colored urine. Dark yellow urine is a sign you are not drinking enough. Limit your coffee, tea, and cola to 1 or 2 cups a day. Caffeine may cause you to lose fluid too quickly, which can make you dehydrated.
Lemons to the rescue
Lemon juice is thought to be helpful mainly because it contributes extraordinary amounts of citrate and citrate may help in two ways. It makes the urine less acidic (discouraging stone development) and it can bind with calcium in the urine, potentially reducing the amount of calcium available to form calcium oxalate stones.
Herbs
There are a host of herbs that help your kidneys to function properly while also assisting them in dissolving stones. These include nettle, bearberry, cleavers, corn silk, crampbark, gravel root, kava kava and hydrangia. Fresh basil leaves strengthen your kidneys, and are delicious when blended with purified water and a small amount of honey.
Limit Caffeine and Alcohol:
Even though they may initially increase urine output, both ultimately deplete your body of water. Plus, caffeine increases the amount of calcium in your urine.
I hope you all enjoy this informative post. thanks!
