I pictured these sheep while walking on a local farm recently. It's around this time of year that they start having lambs. There were a couple of lambs on the farm, but we didn't get too close as they were newly born and wanted to stay close to their Mamas.

Pet Lamb

The farmer often fosters a lamb or two every year and this year was no different. Sometimes the ewe dies while delivering and other times she had twins or triplets and can only produce enough milk for one and rejects the other. The runt ends up at home with the farmer and his family. Here the lamb meets their little dog and gets a feed at the traffic lights in the village!

With sheep and lambs on the mind, we ended up watching the movie Babe today, which was a big hit with the whole family.
