Simple tutorial on how to make paper glue. [ENG /ESP]

Dear WORLD OF XPILAR community, here we are again this time to bring you a small tutorial on how to make the traditional collage glue, I have been using this material for many years and it is of a great quality, I have works made for about 20 years and they remain intact, warning that I protect them with various resins so they are not affected by humidity.

This glue is known as ENGRUDO, it can be used to glue fabric, cardboard and if it is thick enough it can be used to glue wood, although it is not very recommendable for this last activity.

The components that I use are very simple and we all have them at home, it is economical and can be used by children and adults as it is not toxic.

The basic components are:
WHEAT FLOUR.
**SULFUR
**SUGAR
**VINEGAR
**BORIC ACID
**WATER

Both the wheat flour and the starch are in a proportion one to one, they are placed in a container and the water is added while they are mixed by hand until there are no lumps and the mixture is not very clear, this should be like the consistency of a compote.

Then add the following ingredients: boric acid, a small teaspoon, three spoonfuls of vinegar, these ingredients are to avoid fungus and bacteria, and two spoonfuls of sugar to strengthen the adherence to the paper.

After we have united all the ingredients, we take the container to the fire, I use an electric cooker to control the heat, there we are moving with a spoon constantly, taking care not to form lumps or stick, the duration will be about five minutes, when it is quite thick, it is lowered and allowed to cool, stored in a container in the refrigerator so it is not damaged, if the components were well added, the paste lasts up to a month without being damaged.

With this material I make my works which are in the hands of collectors and people who have never had a piece damaged, I recommend that when gluing the paper these should have enough glue so that there is no air between one and the other, with this material masks, piñatas, sculptures, paintings and everything that does not contain plastic are glued. Apreciada comunidad WORLD OF XPILAR por acá estamos de nuevo esta vez para traerles un pequeño tutorial de como se hace la tradicional pega para pegar collage, uso este material desde hace muchos años y es de una gran calidad, tengo trabajos hechos desde hace unos 20 años y se mantienen intactos, advirtiendo que los protejo con resinas variadas para que no los afecte la humedad.

Esta pega se le conoce como ENGRUDO, se puede usar para pegar tela, cartón y si esta bastante espesa sirve para pegar madera, aunque no es muy recomendable para esta ultima actividad.

Los componentes que yo uso son muy sencillos y los tenemos todos en casa, es económica y puede ser usada por niños y adultos ya que no es toxica.

Los componentes básicos son:
HARINA DE TRIGO
ALMIDON
AZÚCAR
VINAGRE
ACIDO BORICO
AGUA

Tanto la harina de trigo como el almidón van en proporción uno a uno, se colocan en un recipiente y se les va agregando el agua mientras se mezclan con la mano hasta que no tenga grumo y la mezcla no sea muy clara, esta debe quedar como la consistencia de una compota.

Posteriormente se van agregando , los siguientes ingredientes, ácido bórico una pequeña cucharadita, tres cucharadas de vinagre, estos ingredientes son para evitar hongos y bacterias, unas dos cucharadas de azúcar para fortalecer la adherencia al papel.

Posteriormente a que hemos unido todos los ingredientes, llevamos el recipiente al fuego,yo uso una cocina eléctrica para controlar el calor, ahí vamos moviendo con una cuchara constantemente, cuidando que no se formen grumos ni se pegue, la duración sera de unos cinco minutos, cuando este bastante espesa, se baja y se deja enfriar, guardándose en un recipiente en el refrigerador para que no se dañe, si se agregaron bien los componentes, el engrudo dura hasta un mes sin dañarse.

Con este material hago mis trabajos los que están en manos de coleccionistas y personas a quienes jamas se les ha dañado una pieza, recomiendo que al pegar el papel estos deben tener suficiente cola para que no quede aire entre uno y otro, con este material se pegan mascaras, piñatas, esculturas, cuadros y todo aquello que no contenga plástico. Los invito a hacer engrudo y crear bellas obras de arte.
