Painting of a Pretty Lady II

Hello there! Today's painting features two complementary colors! Orange and Sky Blue. These two complements are one of my favorite colors. They have a way of unifying any composition. If you're an anime geek like me, you'd notice main characters often feature either one of the hair colors, a good example is Ichigo from Bleach and Kagura from Gintama with orange as their hair color. There's also Ban from 7 Deadly Sins and Sakata Gintoki from Gintama with the blue hair.

Orange is one color you can find on almost every shopping/ food retail outlet, it's one to grab your attention! It symbolizes enthusiasm, creativity, fascination, happiness and so on, while Light blue is the color of the sky. It symbolizes tranquility, calmness, peace and so on.

Process From Sketch to Finish

Firstly, I started with a sketch and cleaned up my lines.

Next, I painted in my blue

Then the orange came in next,

I had it in mind for the hair to have more loose strokes and not be a solid color. I'm happy it came out nice!
