It is a given fact that every Job needs a certain level of skill and certain type of skill depending upon the Job Level and Type. For example if you are on a Medical Type Job you may require Dexterity, Long Hours, Immense Medical Knowledge and many more but depending on which post you are at the Medical Type Job you have to prioritise one skill over the other. I have known about this feature from a very long time even though I have been working for just over 5 years as even though it has been just over 5 years I had started applying for different jobs way back and I had to face different interviews and a lot of rejections as well. It was during these rejections that I understood that even though I am applying for the same type of Job the skill requirement for each and every one of those jobs were slightly different.
As of right now I am working as a Sales Executive for an Agricultural Company where skills like communication, being disciplined, quick thinking and many more are pretty much appreciated by the company. But that doesn’t mean that the skills we will need will not change in future as well, in my case now I also have to be adept in Computer Typing and Excel which was not a requirement required previously. Although this is definitely not a requirement but it is favourable if a person has those skills.
So if you are looking for a job then try to focus on specific skillsets related to the Job category you are looking to get as nowadays having just a degree won't help you to make the cut.
