Following the list, started in the previous post a few days ago, I continue with 5 groups that I believe have contributed a lot to music in these last two decades.

Massive Attack

This band is already a true classic for the last generations, always with a sophisticated and avant-garde sound, which is definitely not perishable, In the aforementioned decades, they left two exquisite albums and several singles and EPs, with their customary luxury collaborations of: Damon Alban , Martina Topley Bird, Horace Andy, Sinead O'connor, among others, My favorite is Heligoland, an album released in mid-2010 that I haven't stopped listening to.

The Olympians

The Olimpo had never sounded so groovy ,this band that is part of the solid New York soul movement, influenced by the sound of the 60s and 70s. Keyboardist Toby Pazner is a very important figure in this scene. and he is one of the main culprits of this project launched in the year 2016,with the homony album, which together with members of The Michels Affair, The Budos Band and Dap-Kings, who navigate between soul, jazz, and funk.

Rulo

Rulo is the solo project of David Eidelstein, Chilean musician and composer, former member of Los Tetas. I must admit that listening to his album “Vendabal” released in 2018 was a warm discovery, sublime lyrics and music that masterfully fuses various Andean folk rhythms with an intimate and personal touch. Highly recommended.

Systema Solar

The sound of that band is a complete blender of festive Caribbean rhythms from the Colombian coast with electronic music and hip hop, with a very colorful and original visual proposal and with political sensitivity. Already with three albums under their arms, Systema Solar (2009), La revancha del burro (2013) and Rumbo a tierra (2016), they have established themselves as an artistic collective that will take you to fly through their psychedelic galaxy and its catchy sound that exudes Caribbean flavor everywhere.

Tool

13 years away had the penultimate album of Tool, 10,000 days, with their long-awaited last release Fear Inoculum from the end of 2019. with an almost prophetic title for what awaited us in pandemic 2020. Tool is one of my favorite bands from Hard Rock, always characterized by their complex sound and their existentialist philosophy. No doubt it was worth the wait, a sober, dark album with brutal force and with very elaborate compositions and a solid musical quality that make this album a diamond, already well polished. No waste.
