Trinitarias [ENG-SPA]

These beautiful plants are very common in my country, I have seen them very well very specific in any climate, here it is called Trinitaria, he heard that other parts call it Veranera, its scientific name is Bougainvillea, it is native to America, specifically the Amazonian, the truth is that in addition to its wide ornamental use it also has medicinal properties, although the latter is not well known to all people.

One day talking to an older woman, who cares lovingly for her plants in the garden, she detected that the tea made with their flowers was very good for treating respiratory diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, for its quality as an expectorant, even for lowering the fever, what surprised me the most was its use as a healing agent applied directly to the wound.

These photographs are a pleasant memory of those days when you always learn something new.

Estas hermosas plantas son muy comunes en mi país, las he visto adaptarse muy bien prácticamente en cualquier clima, aquí se le llama Trinitaria, he escuchado que otras partes le dicen Veranera, su nombre científico es Bougainvillea, es originaria de América, específicamente de la Amazonia, lo cierto es que además de su amplio uso ornamental también tiene propiedades medicinales, aunque esto último no es muy conocido por todas las personas.

Un dia conversando con una mujer mayor, quien cuidaba cariñosamente sus plantas en el jardín, me comentó que el té hecho con sus flores eran muy buenas para tratar las enfermedades respiratorias como el asma, la bronquitis, por su cualidad como expectorante, incluso para bajar la fiebre, lo que más me sorprendió fue su uso como cicatrizante aplicado directamente sobre la herida.

Estas fotografías son un grato recuerdo de esos días donde siempre se aprende algo nuevo.
