I, like everyone out there wants to be treated well when we bring in our hard earned money to a business. Just like Sheldon Cooper from big bang theory would say at a comic book store “I don’t come here for the comic books, I can get them online. I come here for the customer service”. No one wants to be treated like a burden when they try to purchase items from a store either online or physically. I, like every customer wants to be treated like king as it tells on the way we will spend or if we would ever come back to patronize that business.

In the past most business weren’t really bothered about customer service because they were probably the only business that could offer that good or perhaps that service. But with the advent of technology and the rise in population all over the world, lots of businesses have risen that can provide even better goods and services than before.

Shifting profit generation from “demand and supply” to “loyalty and supply”. Lots of business can offer this particular good to me, so what makes you different and what more am I getting aside the product is the new thing. How a customer is treated right from the point of enquiry to after they have bought the product is what encompasses customer relations. An indication of if I would return to patronize you or even refer you to my friends and family. A casual “welcome to our store” could drive a customer to buy more but few businesses know this while those who do go the extra mile to help customers pick item and even give advice’s to their customers. The icing on the cake of every purchase, a signature act in the heart of every customer, that’s the effect of good and strong customer relationship.

From “ welcome to our store” to “ oh I would definitely recommend that” to “ thank you for banking with us” .The world is full of ups and downs already and everyone needs an extra boost of encouragement from anywhere , being able to light up a customers face would definitely go a long way in getting them to patronize you even on the hottest day or wait till when you would be available as a person. Creating a sense of loyalty in them and keeping them hooked on your business. Take for example a business that sells nice home supplies, helping a confused customer hand pick every single item they need would create an effect I would term “ripple effect”, they would want to tell every other person they meet how helpful a sales representative was to everyone they meet. That’s free advertising that would draw in new paying customers and off course profit which is the purpose of a business.

The aim of every business is to generate profit and paying customers are needed for that. Apart from a few percentage that could get to know the business via an advert, the rest would be through word of mouth from previous customers who have enjoyed the businesses strong customer relationship. The importance of good customer relationship cannot be over emphasized, as it allows every other customer give reviews and feedback on a product /service, allowing the business chances to improve and serves us better. Without us there wouldn’t be a product in the first place and so the only way a product would appeal to a larger audience would be if it was serving us well because you know “Customer is king”. And so it further helps expand a businesses reputation and off course its profit generation.

That’s why it is recommended that you treat every single customer well as they are the angels of advertisements, new customers and ultimately profits. Making effort to create a strong customer relationship management would profit a business in more ways than ever imagined.
