Burdock in the world of thorns

in hive-185836 •  5 days ago

One day walking along a very boring street for a photographer in the sense that the probability of seeing something interesting there is very small I saw a high fence crowned with barbed wire along the entire perimeter and under the fence in the roadside dust grew thickets of a thorny plant called burdock.

Barbed wire and thorny burdock fruits had some kind of mental connection I will try to dig in this direction.

Many people relying on their hobbies or on some need to do things that they have never done sometimes say that they should have been born where there is enough of it or where such skills are instilled from childhood.

For example a fisherman dreams of living near a lake where there is a lot of fish a mushroom picker would like to have a forest with mushrooms behind his house and someone who decided to take up agriculture would dream of being taught this trade in early childhood but this is not the case.

And apparently the burdock's dream of living where there were already a lot of thorns has come true.

Did he find himself in his element?

But this is not quite true because the burdock's task is to cling to someone's pants and allow its seeds to migrate to new territories.

Under a fence with barbed wire its chances of fulfilling the goal of its life tend to zero.

The chances that someone will want to take a walk under this fence in the burdock thickets are unlikely.

So many people who received many useful skills at birth do not develop them but on the contrary they want to leave the favorable atmosphere and for example leave the village and go to the city.

Their skills if compared to the tenacious thorns of a burdock turn into soulless barbed wire.
