According to Austrian state radio and television, a terrorist attack occurred in the center of the Austrian capital Vienna at about 8:00 p.m. local time on November 2, causing many casualties. At present, the area has been blocked and the arrest operation is still in progress.

Karmer, the Austrian Federal Minister, said the subsequent terrorist attack was an apparent one.

At least one passer-by and one suspect were killed in the night at six locations confirmed by the Vienna police. Among the injured, many people were in critical condition, including a police officer. Another suspect was arrested after an exchange of fire with the police, and one or more suspects at large were armed with weapons, including long barreled firearms. At the same time, people were asked to stay away from the area where the case occurred and stay at home, and not to publish photos or videos of the scene on social media, but to provide them to the relevant authorities.
