Large companies have demanded extreme levels of demands on their workers in order to maintain high levels of productivity and remain competitive. This situation has caused workers to suffer a high level of physical and mental exhaustion and, as a result, a decrease in their work performance.
Motivated by this situation, companies have invested economic resources in occupational physicians to keep their workers in full conditions so that they can develop their activities without any inconvenience, the results have not been the most expected because these exhaustions that translate into work stress continue to occur.
For all these reasons, there is an urgent need for workers to seek methods that allow them to maintain their optimal health conditions so that they can perform their activities in the best way possible, and one of the methods that exists to achieve this is the Win Hof Method.
The Wim Hof Method consists of a combination of breathing exercises that help to obtain more oxygen and a greater alkalinization of the body, this is accompanied by showers with cold water making possible inflammations that are present in the body are decreased, also normalizes hormones and endorphins are produced making the body get more energy, all this is complemented by a process of meditation.
Where does this method come from? The creator of this method is the Dutch Wim Hof (Iceman) he has become known for being an extreme athlete, Wim Hof has broken several world records that have to do with the cold among some of his feats are the following:
- Running a half marathon through the Arctic Circle, I do it without running shoes and only wearing shorts.
- Holding on with only one finger at altitudes of more than 2000 meters.
- Swimming under ice more than 66 meters.
- Climbing Everest in shorts only.
