In the End, There's Always Tomorrow...

Sitting in one of life's "Creative Valleys" these days... and part due to what I wrote about in my last post: Overdoing it in the garden.

In some ways back pain is one of the most debilitating forms of pain. For starters, simply moving is extremely difficult... but it's not until the pain finally goes away that you realize just how much it invades every aspect of your being. It's exhausting, and pretty much drains the color from everything around you.

Sorry... I'm probably sounding like "one of those OLD people," now!

Suffice it to say that I have a lot of gratitude for finally being able to move around the house again without having to carefully calculate the effort behind every tiny movement I make!

One of the things I always admired about my elderly auntie was the fact that she knew precisely what she had enough strength and energy to accomplish... and she would stop what she was doing just before it became "too much."

I still have a good bit to learn, in that respect... perhaps because I still (somewhat) operate under the illusion that I still have the strength and stamina I had when I was 29.

That's "half a life" away, in case you are wondering!

Luckily, Mrs. Denmarkguy helped out and did some healing work on my back. It's funny... I am married to someone whose entire life is dedicated to healing other people, and even though I have witnessed her help 100's of people over the years, it never occurred to ask her for help.

As much as anything, it's one of those cases of sometimes not being able to see the obvious when you can make things more complicated than they need to be!

To be honest, this was actually the first time I was majorly helped by so-called "energy healing," which largely "dissolved" pain neither muscle relaxants or painkillers could touch.

It's strange how much pain in one area of the body can keep other parts of the body — including the brain — from working properly... and hence the bit about being in a creative "valley" and waiting till "tomorrow" to be creative.

Had to do that for three days... but now I feel some semblance of "normal" again.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great remainder of your week!

How about YOU? Ever experienced pain (or discomfort) in a specific area that basically made it impossible for OTHER parts of your body to work normally? Do leave a comment — share your experiences — be part of the conversation!
