The West Conifer Seed Aphid is a type of aphid that feeds on the seeds of trees, especially pines. This is not a destructive pest in the house, but just a nuisance. They find their way home during late summer and early fall looking for a place to spend the winter.
They emit a foul odor when disturbed, handled, or crushed/crushed. In addition, the sound of their wings in flight resembles the buzzing sound of a wasp or bee, which can be frightening and startling when someone flies past your ear or lands on top of you.
