Hi Steemians 🚙
I shared my trips last summer as the Istanbul Series on Steemit. I had visited many museums during my vacation and told that I was very impressed by the Rahmi Koç Museum. There are many precious artifacts in this great industrial museum. I told about this museum in a post. Some works deserve to be a separate post. There was a car that caught my attention and I decided to tell its story. Dodge cars 🚗

Brothers John and Horace Dodge from the USA established a company to produce spare parts for automobiles. In the company they founded in 1900, they produced their first vehicle, Dodge, 14 years later. 9 years after production, they put on the market their first steel-bodied car. These durable cars can reach speeds of up to 70 km. It has a very successful body and speed for that period. I think Dodge looks look super cool too. Today, I would love to own and drive this car 😎

Its real story began in the 1930s, when sandstorms in the USA caused years of drought and crisis. These sandstorms are called Dust Bowl. It negatively affected the farmers from the dust bowl. They had to emigrate to look for work. Thus began the migration of farmers to California. The cars mostly owned by the farmers were Dodge cars. For this reason, Dodge cars have become a symbol of the immigration of farmers to California. With this immigration, the Dodges began to be known as the Dodge Dust Bowl.

I took photos of the Dodge from different angles. In the photos you can see suitcases, guitars, eating utensils, chicken coops and much more. We can see a frozen section of the lives of farmer families who had to migrate from their places of residence. Their Dodges embracing their memories, their sadness, their hopes, their despair and all they have.

The Dodge in this museum is an original Dodge that has been preserved as it is without being restored. It was previously exhibited in an automobile museum in the USA. It's great that it's original and unchanged. I feel lucky to be able to see it 😊

Kendimi tarihi bir film sahnesinde gibi hissettim. Araba gerçekten çok hoş duruyor bayıldım 🙃☺️

Ne güzel hissetmişsin 😊 Arabaya ben de bayıldım, müthiş 😎

@enveng I also want to build a car like that, it's a nice museum, it must cost a fortune to have a classic like that in your garage. Regards

Yep, definitely a fortune. Thanks to such wonderful museums, we are able to examine the wonderful works up close 😊

This story is very easy for me to read, because I have never visited Turkey. @enveng.

Thank you for your comment 😊

Thank you for sharing this piece of history, I was very surprised by all the tools that this vehicle has in the rear and on the sides and the replacement tires in the front. I imagine that this way of placing the utensils in this vehicle gave way to the construction of caravans or motorhomes years later.

Yes, I liked this perspective. It looks like a smaller version of the caravan. Thanks for your comment 🤗

Very interestig story of this car! But very interesting to know how tis car does appear in Turkey?)

Since it is a very comprehensive and important museum, they must not have wanted to miss this car. It's exciting to have Dodge come across the ocean 😎

Yes! But it's still amazing how he got there! Considering that the machine has such a utilitarian value, and such machines are unlikely to have been much preserved...

Yep, I have no idea about the number of Dodge Dust Bowl that has survived. If the original cars are few in number, a great achievement is that this museum can bring them.

Great job!
