Weddings are always a special occasion. About 2 1/2 months ago, @petface asked me to create a render for her wedding day. Being married myself, I know that spending the rest of your life with the person you love is the most beautiful thing in the world, so I was more than happy to do this.
She wanted the render to be a bit fun, rather than only traditional, so the bride is trying to take the bouquet of flowers out of the dog's mouth, but the dog doesn't want to let go, because he thinks that she is playing with him. And yet, the couple can't take their eyes off each other. Plus, I added white rose petals falling to give it a magical celebratory feel.
Congratulations @petface on your and your fiance’s engagement, and the many decades of happiness both of you will enjoy together.
Started with a Genesis 8 Female and Male.
Added a stone wall.
Added the semi-completed models, after I morphed the bodies, changed their positions, facial expressions, and added clothes.
Added hair, eyebrows and eyelashes; plus a top hat and facial hair.
Added a pearl necklace and wedding ring.
Added a dog and bouquet of flowers.
Added texture, light and color.
Added white rose petals.
Final render.
In photoshop, I added lens flare, increased the temperature and haze, and decreased the texture to give it a softer and warmer feel.

In Summary:
- I start out with a model template and morph the body physically.
- I put the body into a position, change facial expressions, add makeup, dress the model, add skin texture, props, etc…
- I either can embed the character into the background or wrap the environment around the character, then add lighting and camera settings, like depth of field.
- Rendering time was about 5 hours.
- Postwork in Photoshop (adding imperfections in the skin, changing atmosphere and lighting, etc…)

Sorry to say that I wasnt fascinated with the overall image (judging it by criteria of realism and my always fondness of the image technical perfection). But what is your long suit - and I definitely notice it in every your work - is the amusing eye contact, eye's reflection, various emotions written on the faces, and this one is not an exception. Very nice and funny sketch, the bouquiet in dogs mouth isnt very noticeadble; my fave and most appealing part of the pic maybe was the man's top hat. Unique, noticeable, funny, memorable - it "makes" the whole picture, anchors it in a memory.
