As part of my art class, we popped into the Museum of Archaeology an Anthropology in Cambridge to look at tea making pots and paraphernalia 🍵
This image of a Buddha from Burma, made in the late 18th century, touching the earth, is my favourite display in this museum.
The bhumismudra (touching the earth) represents the Buddha calling the earth to witness his enlightenment and subdue the demons that tempted him 🙏🏽
