During the last two years I have been feeling an urge to paint with brushes. Since I remember myself, I have been drawing with pencils and developed mostly graphical skills. But this urge to paint follows me. As this requires time, concentration and a specific environment I have been putting it aside for the future.
Last year, during the first lockdown, I had the golden chance. Along with friends, I spent 40 days in a small building in the gorgeous Rhodophe mountain.
This is a small painting I created while being there. It was inspired by a photograph I took during one of our walks in that area. It was done on a A5 format paper with tempera. It was a good exercise to get used to the brushes and to mix color. I have an idea to paint it again but this time on a larger canvas.
Hope you like it! Let me know what you think.
