El Salvador to Accept Bitcoin as Legal tender

I just read that the President of El Salvador, the controversial Bukele is going to try to pass a bill through the Salvadoran congress that would practically make Bitcoin legal tender in that country. I think that the possibilities of this passing are more than 50%, after all El Salvador's legal currency is the US Dollar so they have no native coin to compete with Bitcoin.

I think if this happens it would be great for Bitcoin, probably great for me, as El Salvador is our neighboring country so exchanging it for fiat will be easier for me, you don't know how difficult transacting with crypto is in Honduras. I am hoping this happens just to see how it goes.

What I don't want and is a possibility is Bukele playing an Elon Musk to gain notoriety, this is possible, but so far he has been a straightforward guy so I think he means what he says. Perhaps this helps Bitcoin to pick up some speed.
