Lost Some Money Selling Steem

I had some liquid Steem and I really had a pressing need so I decided to trade them, in this case for Bitcoin and then to Litecoin because of the lower fees. Now I am trying to be smart here, I need the money but I am not desperate so I assume I will sell when I think it has gone as high as it will go. So I studied the charts, I read, I analyzed and then Steem went from nearly $0.80 down close to $0.60, of course I got nervous and I sold my Steem for less than what I could have sold it if I hadn't waited, so I can tell you I was less than satisfied with my performance.

But, as I live in Honduras I don't have that many selling options and I was pleased to sell my Litecoin quite quickly and that was that. But then just now I looked at Coinmarketcap and Steem is at 0.00001908 BTC, I sold for 0.00001250 BTC, I lost 650 Satoshis on each Steem a total of nearly 0.00390 BTC, that was around $200.00 which hurt me because I lost them because I panic, and worst of all it makes me feel like a fool. I have to learn to overcome this thing, I actually had a feeling alts where going into a bull market but lost my faith. Now I wouldn't doubt that Steem does go up to five dollars which would serve me right.

The lesson learned here, for you, is never listen to any financial advise I give to you, I suck at it. At the same time, even though I could have made much more I am thankful to Steemit for giving me the opportunity to solve some of my financial problems, so never think that Steem doesn't work.

As an apart the sending fees on the exchange I used for BTC were nearly $26.00, for Litecoin it was $0.25 so at least there I had a winner.
